This is the portfolio of Jason Suter. That's me. I have a passion for creating engaging, efficient designs. I believe great design isn't defined by a single set of tools or just how 'good' something looks. It is based on solid, proven principles that supercede medium and content yet considers both to achieve the best end product. This site is intended to showcase a few of the things I've worked on and show a broad range of interests and skills, from web and print design to 3D illustration to occasional carpentry. If you are interested in something you don't see here, please contact me. In my 15 years of experience, I've probably done it.
I started designing things as a child, drawing blueprints and 'mock-ups' of things I wanted to build. I've always seen design as a sort of puzzle; figuring out how things go together best to make something new and better.
I'm originally from and currently live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I lived near Washington DC for a while and gained a lot of valuable experience there, but I'm glad to be back in the more relaxed pace of my home.
I am blessed with a wonderful wife and two children. We manage to not drive each other crazy as I currently work full-time out of our house. On any given weekend you might find us camping, hiking, biking...anything that gets us into the sunshine.
Wow, since you're still reading this far, I guess you really are interested. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to build things by hand, both on and off the screen. Currently, my wife and I are in the midst of doing some remodeling on our 71-year-old home. It's something of a love/hate relationship with the house, but overall we're really enjoying making it our own. I also have a '66 Mustang that I like tinkering with.
